Between classes, working a part-time or full-time job, interning, volunteering, participating in a club or organization, studying abroad, or attending to other commitments it can hard to schedule time to see a career counselor or attend a workshop in Hanes Hall. UCS has five ways that you can use our services virtually.

  1. Carolyn Couch – online career counselor

Need to have a career appointment after 5 pm or can’t make it to Hanes Hall. Schedule a virtual appointment with Carolyn Couch.

  1. Careerolina

Your Tar Heel Career tool kit is a great online resource to find internships, part-time or full-time jobs, and employers. You can search for positions or employers by industry, job function, and/or location.

  1. UCS Webpage

The UCS webpage has a wealth of resources and information for students. Find out about career fairs and employer information sessions under the Events section. Looking for information on how to write a resume or prepare for grad and professional school admission interviews then check out the Handouts section. Preparing for an interview or interested in global job and internship postings select the Resources section for links that cover a variety of career related information.

  1. Social media – Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram

Career events, information, and videos are just a click away on our social media sites. Use @uncucs to find us.

  1. Career Corner – UNC University Career Services Blog

Looking for some suggestions or tips on career exploration, internships, networking, or professional development then check out the UCS blog site Career Corner, careercorner.unc.edu, where you can read blogs written by our career counselors and career peers.

UCS is here to provide career services and resources in-person and virtually. Make sure to visit us on the 2nd floor of Hanes Hall, at careers.unc.edu, or both.
