Whether you’re a first year or a senior, completely undecided or completely sure of what your future career is, there is something for everyone to gain by attending career panels, information sessions, and meet-ups.

Here are just a few of the benefits you can receive by attending a career panel, information session, or meet-up:

  1. Networking practice.
  2. Learn about different companies.
  3. Learn about opportunities that are available to you. (Opportunities including leadership conferences, internships, and jobs.)
  4. Get great advice.

UNC’s University Career Services hosts several information sessions, career panels, and meet ups in a variety of fields. Check out their website here to find upcoming events. Also, the Career Peers are hosting their own series of panels called Late Night with Career Peers created specifically for first year students. There are two more panels left in the series so make sure to attend! Panels will consist of current UNC students—who better to hear from then your fellow peers!
